Duke was chained in a yard for most of his life until a neighbour reported it. He arrived with scars, a rusted chain and — somehow — complete faith in people. Staffies are like that.
He is affectionate to the point of comedy: sixty kilograms of muscle that believes it's a lap dog. He adores people, especially children, and greets his favourites with a full-body wiggle.
Duke would do best as the only dog in an adults-plus-older-kids home that can give him the couch time he's owed. He has so much love saved up and nowhere to spend it. Yet.
