Oupa Joe's owner passed away last winter and no family could take him in. He arrived confused and quiet, wearing the jersey his owner knitted him. He still has it, and he still feels the cold, so he wears it with dignity.
He asks for very little: a soft bed, two meals, a short evening stroll and a lap to warm. He snores like a tractor and we consider it part of his charm.
Senior dogs are the easiest adoptions we do — no chewing, no training, just gratitude. Joe has a few good years left and he'd like to spend them on your couch.
Good with: Kids, Other dogs, Cats. Adoption fee: R950 — it covers sterilisation, vaccinations, deworming and a microchip.
