Adoption days, fundraisers and market stalls — this is where animals meet their people. No booking needed unless an event says otherwise; just pitch up.

Meet ten of our dogs and a gazebo full of kittens, in person. Home-check volunteers will be on hand, so if it's love at first sight you can start the adoption process on the day. Bring the whole family — and your current dog, if you'd like to do introductions.
18:30–22:00 · The Copper Kettle, Ockerse Street, Krugersdorp North
Eight rounds of general knowledge, a raffle, and a legendary jackal-themed picture round. R120 a head, tables of six, all proceeds go to rebuilding the isolation kennels before winter ends. Book a table via the contact page.
08:00–14:00 · Ruimsig Country Market, Hole in One Avenue, Ruimsig, Roodepoort
Find our stall between the pancakes and the biltong. We'll be selling calendars, collar tags and homemade dog biscuits, taking wishlist donations, and introducing a few adoptable dogs on leads. Come say hello and give a dog a scratch.
07:30–15:00 · Munsieville Community Hall, Munsieville, Krugersdorp
Together with two volunteer vets we're sterilising and vaccinating pets from the surrounding community at no cost to owners. Sterilisation is the single biggest thing that reduces the number of animals needing rescue. Volunteers needed for admin, carrying and comforting.

Our biggest adoption day of the year, at our own kennels. Every dog gets a bandana, every cat gets a cubicle with a view, and every visitor gets a koeksister. Reduced adoption fees on all adult animals, sponsored by a very kind local vet practice.
08:00–10:30 · Walter Sisulu National Botanical Garden, Malcolm Road, Poortview, Roodepoort
A gentle 4 km walk with our adoptable dogs (and yours, if they're sociable). Each rescue dog walks with a volunteer handler — you're welcome to ask for a turn on the lead. R80 entry per adult goes to the food fund; waterfall and coffee at the halfway mark.
Markets, school fairs, office fundraisers — we'll bring a gazebo, collection tins and a few impossibly charming dogs. The dogs get socialised, your event gets tail wags, everybody wins.
